Make a child Smile

AIDS has become the most devastating disease that humankind has ever faced. Infected or affected by HIV/AIDS, millions of children have been forced to give up their childhood to take on the responsibilities of adults, caretakers of ill parents, and stewards for younger siblings Of the 33 million people living with HIV/AIDS today, approximately half of them are women and 2.5 million are children. GTN goal is to help each and every child affected by HIV/AIDS have a positive childhood, but with numbers as staggering as these, it's obvious how much we need your help. MAKE A DIFFERENCE TODAY

It is in Africa, in some of the poorest countries in the world, that the impact of HIV/AIDS has been most severe. At the end of 2007, there were 9 countries in Africa where more than one tenth of the adult population aged 15-49 was infected with HIV.

An estimated 22 million people were living with HIV at the end of 2007 and approximately 1.9 million additional people were infected with HIV during that year.

In sub-Saharan Africa alone, the estimated number of children under 18 orphaned by AIDS more than doubled between 2000 and 2007, reaching 12.1 million.

Our Angelwish Partners focus on addressing the medical, nutritional, and educational needs of families living with HIV/AIDS.
